Welcome to Renew CBT
SITE UPDATE IN PROGRESS
I am updating my website to better reflect how I work with ADHD. As a therapist who also navigates an ADHD brain, I know what it means to have 100 open tabs at once. If your mind rarely switches off, we might be a great fit.
"It’s not about stopping the wave. It’s about harnessing its energy."
I am still taking bookings for therapy whilst I update the website.
A little about me

You are likely here because you feel exhausted, anxious, depressed, or stuck in a loop of self-doubt.
You may have even tried therapy before, only to find that it just scratched the surface of what’s actually going on.
Standard therapy often feels frustrating because it is built for minds that process the world in a straight line. If your brain rarely switches off 'like a browser with 100 open tabs' generic worksheets and symptoms-focused coping strategies won't cut through the noise.
I am a fully accredited CBT therapist and Mental Health Nurse, but we won't use manualized fixes in our sessions. We go deeper. Whether we are dealing with trauma, depression, or severe anxiety, I offer a safe, mask-free space to map the chaos. Together, we look at the whole system and untangle the underlying knots.
My approach is built on one core idea: It’s not about stopping the wave. It’s about harnessing its energy. 'Learning how to be better at feeling, not just focused on feeling better'
Drawing on my own lived experience with an ADHD diagnosis, I can appreciate what that internal overwhelm feels like. At times standardised therapy doesn't quite 'get' how fast and tangled your mind works, and this is exactly the energy we need to make sense of it all.

How many sessions will I need?
-
There is no pressure; you are in control of the pace and what works best for you. It's hard to know the exact number, as this will depend on a number of factors and what you want to achieve in therapy. However, I usually recommend that the first few sessions be no more than two weeks apart. It's also helpful to allocate time outside of the session to focus on any homework tasks.
-
Often, after an initial course of therapy, it can be useful to arrange a follow-up check-in after a couple of months just to ensure you are still on track. Ultimately, you are in control, and we can work around what suits you best.
04
Is there anything I need to do before starting?
-
Starting therapy can be tough, but there's no expectation for you to have all the answers or know everything; we can discover these things together.
-
It's helpful to have a think about what is happening right now that led you to seek support, and what you would like to get out of therapy.
